  15. Could anyone tell me if there is any program available on
  16. the Amiga that can/will extract digital audio from the IDE
  17. Toshiba XM-5302B CD-Rom drive (rev 1095).
  18. This CD-Rom drive is installed in an A4000 using IDE-fix
  19. (v105.2) & 4x IDE Adapter, with on the first cable 2 IDE
  20. harddisks and on the other cable the CD-Rom drive (as
  21. master).

  23. The CD-Rom Player and Extractor YACP v1.1(?) by Frank
  24. Wurkner that is included with IDE-fix doesn't work with the
  25. IDE CD-Rom drive, it doesn't recognize the Audio CD's.
  26. YACP v1.2 on AmiNet also doesn't work and I cannot locate
  27. YACP v1.3, it's not on AmiNet the last time I checked.
  28. The other 'Extractor' programs on AmiNet also don't work,
  29. they either crash the A4000 or they say something like
  30. "SCSI: illegal request..."

  32. I have asked in the pc cdrom newsgroup if the Toshiba does
  33. support the nice feature of Digital Audio Extraction and the
  34. response was that it does support it, so why doesn't any of
  35. the Amiga programs work with the CD-Rom drive?
  36. Is it the fault of the IDE-fix's atapi.device driver? 
  37. The extractor programs themselves? Or is there something
  38. wrong with my Toshiba drive?
