- Hello,
-
- Could anyone tell me if there is any program available on
- the Amiga that can/will extract digital audio from the IDE
- Toshiba XM-5302B CD-Rom drive (rev 1095).
- This CD-Rom drive is installed in an A4000 using IDE-fix
- (v105.2) & 4x IDE Adapter, with on the first cable 2 IDE
- harddisks and on the other cable the CD-Rom drive (as
- master).
-
- The CD-Rom Player and Extractor YACP v1.1(?) by Frank
- Wurkner that is included with IDE-fix doesn't work with the
- IDE CD-Rom drive, it doesn't recognize the Audio CD's.
- YACP v1.2 on AmiNet also doesn't work and I cannot locate
- YACP v1.3, it's not on AmiNet the last time I checked.
- The other 'Extractor' programs on AmiNet also don't work,
- they either crash the A4000 or they say something like
- "SCSI: illegal request..."
-
- I have asked in the pc cdrom newsgroup if the Toshiba does
- support the nice feature of Digital Audio Extraction and the
- response was that it does support it, so why doesn't any of
- the Amiga programs work with the CD-Rom drive?
- Is it the fault of the IDE-fix's atapi.device driver?
- The extractor programs themselves? Or is there something
- wrong with my Toshiba drive?
-
- Any advice/pointers would be very welcome.
- Thanks for your time.
